Book one, The Christmas Cats In Silly Hats, stressed anyone should learn to play together nicely. Learning to cooperate is important for everyone.
Book two, The Christmas Cats Chase Christmas Rats, urges acceptance and advises against prejudice. "It's best to be open and trusting and kind, and always to keep an open mind." Learn to accept others in a non-judgemental, open-minded fashion.
Book three, The Christmas Cats Encounter Bats, urges everyone to honor life in all its forms, and to love and accept all God's creatures.
Book four, The Christmas Cats Fear For the Deer, teaches everyone to help others when they are in need and that sometimes you have to think hard to find the perfect solution.
The Christmas Cats Fear for the Deer presents with a classically illustrated cover that reminds me stylistically of old cartoons. I really loved this presentation. And really, who wouldn’t love cats in hats? Great concept and a clever way to both entertain and inform children by using the things that they love to keep their attention. Children will adore the cats and their adventure as they screech in to save the deer from mean old hunters. I really loved this book from cover to cover. Great job!....The author’s voice was perfect for this genre and I was happy to find that the author has written other books. I hope this series is continued and I plan to share this one with my own children. It will be the perfect addition to any child’s library.

Denise AliceaLoved, loved, loved this fun story The Christmas Cats Fear for the Deer by Constance Corcoran Wilson and art by Garcy McCluskey. I read this book with my five year old daughter and she absolutely loved it. I thought the art was eye catching and very beautiful. My daughter especially loved the rhyming which made the story fun to read! At the end the author included two fun activities. This is a great addition to our bookshelf. Teddy Rose"My sons and I really care about all God's creatures so this silly story about the cats encountering bats (which are one of our favorite wild creatures) was quite the treat. The rhyming story is fun to read and it is a cute story about being kind to all living things...even the ones that may scare us. " -- Read More
Mrs. Mommy"Seriously, this is a delightful book that any child will enjoy having read to them or reading themselves. The rhymes are constant and sharp. It's the sort of book where children will love to shout out loud the words as they search along with the Christmas Cats for the bats. " -- Read More
Susan Day"This is a delightful story that will bring a smile to any face.....I recently read this to my 5 year old grandson. He listened very attentively and with a wide smile as I read each page. I could tell he enjoyed the writing style. He adlibbed with his own rhymes and as the book went along I thought perhaps it was written in a way to encouraged kids to participate. Dominic certainly got a kick out of adding his own rhyming words. When the last page was read, his immediate response was “read it again Grandma!” That's what a good book is all about. " -- Read More
Lauren Nagel"When my daughter first saw this book, she wanted to read it. I will admit, the cover art really drew us in. It has bright colors and rats in a tub looking like they are having fun. Obviously, this was going to be a good book. Inside the book the artwork is just the same. It is very colorful and whimsical. The artist has "cartoon" life mixed with some everyday life. I like this because it helps kids identify with the story better. Not only do they see it as a cartoon, but they seem some reality in it. " -- Read More >
